About ten years ago, Janette Higgins was known for her book "The Best Places To B&B in Ontario;A Selective Guide" (no longer in print), commonly referred to by travellers as their "B&B bible". Janette shows up incognito and judges the B&B on quite a number of contemporary criteria. We are open year round. The home is nestled between the historic Crescent Park and The Bridgeview Conservation Park. Petrolia provides shopping, golf, Petrolia Discovery & we are very proud of our Victoria Playhouse Theatre(VPP), & we are super close. We are just a 10 minute drive north of The Oil Museum of Canada located in Oil Springs (the home of the first commercial oil well in North America). 50% deposit is required at the time of booking ( cash,traveler's cheques or money orders) You will receive a full refund if you cancel 14 days before the booking date. You will receive 1/2 refund if you cancel 7 days before the booking date. No refund if less than 7 days notice given. Check in time is 3pm checkout time is 11am. (Double futon)   INQUIRE ONLY This is a new house, constructed of non-combustible material such as steel panels topped with fibre cement siding & a metal roof. Heat and A/C is generated by a GEO thermal unit. Warm comfort is delivered by radiant in floor heating.   The "ALEX" suite has an extremely comfy bed, set off with high-end linens. There is a duvet on the bed but, cotton substitutes can be made for people with allergies. The "ALEX" suite is totally autonomous. Private access is through a private courtyard. No stairs. No pets or smoking is permitted in our suite. We provide toiletries, plush towels bath robes,slippers & a hair dryer.     There is a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and a coffee/tea maker. Other amenities include satellite TV, DVD player & clock radio.
